BIRMINGHAM, AL – Larry Whitehead has joined O’Neal Manufacturing Services (OMS) as President. He has extensive experience leading several large and successful steel-related fabricating/manufacturing businesses over a period of forty years, most recently as CEO of Manchester Tank, a multi-location manufacturer comparable to OMS in sales volume and employment. Whitehead is a graduate of Jacksonville State University.
Whitehead succeeds Steve McCracken, who will retire after a 34-year career at the end of 2016. For the remainder of the year McCracken, who has been named Vice-President of O’Neal Industries (ONI), parent company of OMS, will assist with this transition, as well as work on projects for the leadership team at ONI. McCracken, who has had a long and successful career at both O’Neal Steel and OMS, has been at the helm as President of OMS since the company was formed by ONI in 2011.
