Exton, PA – TW Metals’ Government Business Unit (GBU) has been awarded a “Metals Prime Vendor” contract for the Northeast Region by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support to provide a range of products including pipe and tube, bar and rods, wire, sheet, plate, extrusions angles, valves and fittings.
The contract is for a five-year base period, and the projected revenue could exceed $12 million annually (maximum of $24 million). This award is a renewal for TW Metals.
Pat Able, General Manager, Government Business Unit (GBU) at TW Metals, said, “This is strategically important because as the incumbent, our GBU will have a quick and seamless start-up for our customers. We have staff in place that are familiar with the customers, and the customers are quite comfortable with our process.”
The customers include Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Federal Civilian Agencies with in the Northeast Region. The Northeast Region is defined as Pennsylvania, Maine, Ohio, Maryland, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Rhode Island, New Jersey, West Virginia, Delaware, and District of Columbia.
