O’Neal Flat Rolled Metals (OFR) opens steel coil processing facility in Birmingham

Birmingham, AL – The former coil processing center of O’Neal Industries is now part of O’Neal Flat Rolled Metals (OFR). OFR is part of the O’Neal family of companies and recently opened for business in Birmingham. OFR focuses on processing and distributing carbon and non-ferrous light-gauge flat rolled metal products. With nearly 20 locations throughout the United States and Canada, OFR expands its flat rolled expertise to the southern United States. This expansion into Birmingham will enhance OFR’s ability to fulfill customers’ flat rolled requirements throughout the Southern United States. OFR’s product offering includes stainless, aluminum, and carbon steels. Carbon steel products include: hot rolled P&O, cold rolled, galvanized, electro-galvanized, and galvannealed. Services include leveling/cutting-to-length, slitting, and blanking.
This expansion has created 5 additional jobs with an immediate need of hiring 2 more employees. Within the next couple years, OFR Birmingham will seek to hire an additional 15 employees to support the growth of flat rolled processing and distribution.
