Chief Executive Officer
Ruffner Page is Chief Executive Officer of O’Neal Industries (ONI), the nation’s largest family‑owned network of metals service centers and component manufacturing businesses. He joined ONI in 2022 as President and Chief Operating Officer and has served on the ONI Board since 2016.
Prior to ONI, Ruffner spent more than two decades as President of McWane, Inc., a major global manufacturing company. Earlier in his career, he served as Executive Vice President at the National Bank of Commerce, a subsidiary of Alabama National Bancorporation, from 1989 to 1994.
Ruffner’s leadership extends across industry and civic organizations. He serves as Vice Chairman of the Board for Southern Research as well as on the boards of the Birmingham Education Foundation, South State Bank, Economic Development Partnership of Alabama, the UAB Center for the Arts, the Alabama Symphony Orchestra, Leadership Birmingham, and the Freshwater Land Trust. His previous board service includes the Birmingham Airport Authority, a term as Chairman of the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham, and a Trustee for the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business Foundation.
Born in New York City and raised in Memphis, Ruffner earned a B.A. in Philosophy and Psychology with a minor in Economics from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
