Craft O’Neal
Executive Chairman
Craft O’Neal serves as the Executive Chairman of O’Neal Industries (ONI), the nation’s largest family‑owned network of metals service centers and component manufacturing businesses. A third‑generation leader and grandson of company founder Kirkman O’Neal, he has built a distinguished career guiding ONI’s growth, modernization, and strategic direction.
Craft joined O’Neal Steel in 1984 in the Birmingham District’s Inside Sales Department. He advanced through sales and management roles across multiple districts before returning to Birmingham as District Manager. Over the following decade, he served as Southern Region Vice President and Vice President of Sales & Supply Chain Management, building expertise across operations and customer strategy.
In December 2004, Craft succeeded his father, Emmet O’Neal, as Chairman and CEO of O’Neal Steel. When O’Neal Industries was established as the parent company in 2008, he became its Chairman and CEO, leading the organization through significant expansion and technological advancement. Now as Executive Chairman, Craft continues to shape ONI’s long‑term vision, governance, and commitment to excellence.
Beyond his corporate leadership, Craft is deeply engaged in civic and community service. He serves on the boards of the Birmingham Business Alliance, Children’s of Alabama, The O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center at UAB, UAB Athletics Foundation, The Rotary Club of Birmingham, and Leadership Birmingham. He is also a member of the Monday Morning Quarterback Club and a graduate of Leadership Alabama.
Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, Craft earned a B.A. in Business and Economics from Birmingham‑Southern College.
